GRAPHIC DESIGNER


ROLE SUMMARY
Reporting to the Head of Design, the Graphic Designer will share the responsibility of designing our seasonal catalogues and support the day to day tasks of the design department, working across all aspects of design with a heavy focus on print and typography. The Graphic Designer is responsible for ensuring all aspects of our print and creative is inspiring and innovative, whilst keeping up with current trends and market demand. They are responsible for ensuring the brand handwriting is projected through every design asset, giving us authority and a strong edge from our competitors.


SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
• A degree and/or equivalent in-house or agency experience in a similar design role with a minimum 6+ years experience
• Experienced in Adobe Creative Suite
• A strong portfolio demonstrating all aspects of print and digital design across various customer touch points, ranging from catalogues, brochures, lookbooks, adverts, packaging through to digital assets and web banners
• Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to create beautiful layouts and design work to tight deadlines
• The ability to problem solve and think on their feet and who is experienced enough to know when a job just needs to happen, but also knows when to push back and question the brief for better results
• The ability to stay calm and focused under pressure and juggle several projects at the same time
• Print management experience
• Experience in managing design jobs from creative brief through to final production
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• A positive, proactive and collaborative attitude to working
• Excellent organisational qualities
• Understanding of UX, HTML & CCS and experience of designing for digital marketing would be advantageous but is not essential


RESPONSIBILITIES
• Page planning the season trends and priorites with Head of Design and Design Manager
• Working closely with Head of Design and Design Manager on all aspects of design and typography
• Design and creation of catalogue pages, lookbooks and bouncebacks to set brief and instructions
• Liaising with and forging good working relationships with Marketing, Merchandising and Buying departments in creation of all design work
• Managing schedules
• Taking ownership of catalogues in the Design Manager’s absence
• Briefing Artworkers on image retouching
• Finalising print ready artwork and uploading to printers
• Proof checking - meticulous and thorough checking of pages pre-press
• Checking and correcting proofs
• Attending press passes for books (when press passing commences again) which involves overnight stays
• Print and digital design work for press shows
• Packaging and branding design for own brand products including textiles, paint, furniture, lighting, gifting and Christmas

• Work as part of the design team alongside seven in-house designers and artworkers.

JUNIOR DESIGNER


ROLE PROFILE
Reporting to the Design Manager the Junior Designer will support in the day to day tasks of the design department


SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

RESPONSIBILITES
• Assist in the design and creation of catalogue pages to set brief and instructions
• Collate images and text for creating catalogue pages
• Meticulous and thorough checking of pre-press pages with a high level of attention to detail across all aspects of design work
• Collate design corrections from various departments
• Assist with finalising print ready artwork
• Assist with uploading of artwork to printers
• Checking and correcting proofs
• Organise return of proofs to printers
• Attend press passes for all books
• Assist and design pages of lookbooks and bouncebacks to set brief and instructions

ARTWORKER

ROLE SUMMARY
Reporting to the Senior Artworker, the Artworker will support in the day to day tasks of the design and artworking department. The Artworker will help produce and maintain high quality imagery and marketing materials to showcase Cox & Cox products both online and in print, and will be responsible for image re-touching and maintenance of our extensive image library for use across the business and external suppliers.


SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
• A degree and/or equivalent in-house or agency experience in a similar artworking role with a minimum 3+ years experience
• Excellent Photoshop and image manipulation skills
• A strong portfolio demonstrating all aspects of print and digital artworking across various customer touch points, ranging from image retouching and manipulation, creative digital assets and web banners
• Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to create beautiful artwork to tight deadlines

DIGITAL MARKETING EXECUTIVE

ROLE SUMMARY
This role will support the Digital Marketing Specialist across all Cox & Cox digital marketing channels, including but not limited to SEO, paid search, paid social, online display and affiliates, assisting on all campaigns from planning stages through to execution.


RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• Support the Digital Marketing Specialist in the set-up of integrated digital marketing campaigns across PPC, Paid Social, programmatic display and affiliates.
• Support DMS in the delivery of SEO and content strategies (working closely with search agency).
• Act as main point of contact at Cox & Cox for our affiliate management agency, including daily management and tracking of this channel.
• Brief agencies on campaign launch dates in line with seasonal marketing calendar.
• Brief agencies on creatives and ad copy, ensuring assets are delivered on time. Gain sign off of creative assets from internal teams.
• Track channel spend throughout the season, log costs and liaise with DMS on any variances to planned spends.
• Support DMS in the reporting of performance of all digital marketing channels using relevant analytics tools, providing performance data on a weekly basis to DMS.


SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
• At least 2 years digital marketing experience, preferably within retail.
• Good knowledge of Google Analytics is required to assist with general reporting and campaign measurement.
• Experience using paid media platforms such as Google Ads and Facebook Business Manager.
• General SEO and search knowledge desirable.
• Excellent numeracy skills, analytical and results driven with the ability to interpret and effectively communicate marketing performance.
• Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement.

JUNIOR MERCHANDISER


ROLE SUMMARY

The successful applicant will be highly motivated, analytical, effective communicator at all levels and have excellent attention to detail. Must be competent on all Microsoft packages, especially Excel. The role represents an opportunity to develop your career in a busy Buying and Merchandising department.


SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
