At Cox & Cox, we've always believed that home is so much more than four walls. It's a place to feel safe, to recharge, to create memories and to simply be yourself. It's why we're proud to announce our partnership with Furnishing Futures, a remarkable charity dedicated to creating healing homes for women and children who have escaped domestic abuse and are rebuilding their lives in empty social housing. Together, we're helping to transform empty properties into warm, welcoming homes where families can begin a new chapter with dignity, comfort and hope.

Why it matters
Furniture poverty is a hidden crisis affecting more than 14 million people across the UK. While it often goes unseen, its impact is profound.
For many women and children escaping domestic abuse, being offered an empty social housing property represents safety. But, without furniture, flooring, lighting or the everyday essentials that make a house feel like a home, recovery becomes even more challenging. In fact, less than 2% of social housing is provided furnished, leaving vulnerable families to face the impossible choice between living without basic necessities or taking on debt to buy them.
At the same time, around 22 million pieces of furniture are sent to landfill each year, much of it still in excellent condition.
Furnishing Futures exists to bridge this gap. Working with leading interiors brands, designers and manufacturers, the charity rescues beautiful, high-quality furniture and homeware that might otherwise go to waste, using it to create thoughtfully designed homes that help families recover from trauma and move forward with confidence.
Why we're supporting Furnishing Futures
Creating homes people love has always been at the heart of what we do. Every collection we design is inspired by the belief that carefully chosen furniture and accessories have the power to transform not just a space, but the way we feel within it.
That's why partnering with Furnishing Futures feels like such a natural fit for Cox & Cox.
As part of our commitment, we're donating selected furniture and home accessories to help furnish homes for families who need them most. By giving beautiful pieces a meaningful second life, we're helping to create spaces that offer comfort, stability and a renewed sense of belonging.

The transformative power of home
A thoughtfully furnished home offers so much more than practical comfort. It provides a place to rest, to gather, to celebrate milestones and to build new routines. For children especially, having a comfortable bed, somewhere to eat together or a cosy corner to read can make an extraordinary difference to their sense of security and wellbeing.
Every home created through Furnishing Futures is individually designed to meet the needs of the family living there, recognising that beautiful surroundings can play an important role in healing from trauma and rebuilding confidence.
We're incredibly proud to play a small part in that journey.
Looking ahead
This partnership marks the beginning of what we hope will be a long and meaningful relationship with Furnishing Futures. Alongside donating products, we'll continue to explore ways we can support the charity's mission and help raise awareness of furniture poverty across the UK. from volunteering days to running marathons.
