Discover the hero pieces from our AW25 campaign which encapsulates the joy we take in autumn rituals like long dog walks, blackberry picking and curling up on the sofa in a cosy welcoming living room. This week’s Style Notes introduces the key products we used to create this evocative and inviting autumnal scene.
It all started with a sofa
Star of our autumn/winter campaign, the Kiruna sofa in Cumin opulent cotton velvet is an eye-catching piece which is already attracting attention, not least because we have announced a 25% reduction in prices across our entire made to order furniture collection.
The Kiruna is a great all rounder of a sofa. The classic roll armed style will suit any setting, and the cushions are deep and well-sprung, ensuring a comfortable and supportive experience whether sitting or lounging. The higher back, with its shaped profile provides a timeless silhouette, but your choice of fabric will be what really defines its personality. The sofa is available as a two or three seater and the range also includes loveseats and, of course, a footstool which will happily support a tea tray, or those aching legs.
Each can be upholstered in a wide choice of colours and fabrics to suit your style. Order your free swatches today to start your sofa journey with Cox & Cox.
Mood lighting at the touch of a button
The blue Ikat fabric shade on our Seren Rechargeable Floor Lamp provided an apt contrast to the rich cumin tone of the sofa, offering an easy option for adding some warm atmospheric lighting to any corner of the living room. Cosier and more welcoming than the big light, it adds just enough task lighting for reading a few chapters of your book, or leafing through a magazine, and is dimmable in three stages at the touch of a button, so perfect for setting the mood. The classic base has a mellow vintage brass finish which will complement any interior.
Sofascaping with new season cushions
While beautiful and comfortable in its natural state, the Kiruna sofa welcomes a little personalisation in the form of a few carefully chosen cushions. We collected together a combination of toning and contrasting colours in a variety of fabrics for our sofascape, using the green Olive Print Cushion, the Cotton Linen Cushion in Moss Green, the Ruffle Cotton Linen Square Cushion Cover in Steel Blue and the Block Print Cushion in Mustard. The combination of velvet and linen is perfect for this stage of the season when the weather is changeable. The ruffles on the blue cushion add femininity, yet the steely tone is reassuringly sophisticated. The fringed edge on the olive print cushion gives all the vintage feels and we love the character that the hand blocked print brings to the scene.
Hallway storage solutions for 'big coat' weather
When the waterproofs and heavier boots come out, it’s time to take control of dripping coats and muddy boots with a versatile hallway storage unit.
Our Haldane Hallway Storage Unit was the perfect backdrop for drying off our model whippet and proves perfect for giving bootroom vibes to more compact entranceways and halls. It’s painted in a soft neutral which will complement most schemes, and features a tongue and groove back panel which gives a country feel, with a row of five natural oak wood pegs for hanging coats and bags. Beneath is a bench style seat in natural oak and a set of cubby holes which provide room for long boots, as well as shoes and trainers. Other pieces in the Haldane family include an Open Shoe Cabinet and a storage bench.
