About Us

Cox & Cox Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”) sells homeware and furniture products via our website. These Terms & Conditions apply to all orders placed through our website.

Forming a Contract

When you place an order, you will receive an order confirmation email. This does not mean your order has been accepted. A contract is formed once your order has been dispatched.

We reserve the right to cancel an order prior to dispatch if an item is unavailable, incorrectly priced, or due to circumstances beyond our control.

Prices & Payment

All prices are shown in GBP and include VAT where applicable.

We accept payment by debit and credit card, PayPal, Klarna, Clearpay, and Cox & Cox gift vouchers.

Gift Vouchers
  • Gift vouchers are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
  • If an order is paid wholly or partly using a gift voucher, any refund for that amount will be issued as a gift voucher only.

Delivery

Delivery options, charges, and estimated delivery times are shown at checkout.

Delivery times are estimates and may vary during busy periods.

Delivery to Concierge or Reception

If your address has a concierge, reception, or building management, our courier may deliver your order there. Once accepted by a building representative, the order is considered delivered and responsibility passes to you.

A personal signature is not always required for delivery.

Checking Your Order

Please inspect your items as soon as possible after delivery.

Issues should be reported within the following timeframes:

  • Visible damage: within 48 hours
  • Faults on delivery: within 8 working days
  • Faults developing later: within 30 days

Prompt reporting allows us to resolve issues quickly and efficiently.

Faulty Goods (Consumer Rights Act 2015)

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described.

If an item is faulty, we may offer a repair, replacement, or refund, depending on the nature of the fault.

After six months from delivery, you may be required to provide evidence that the fault was present at the time of delivery.

In some cases, faulty items may not need to be returned. We will advise you if collection or return is required.

Change of Mind/Preference Returns

You may request a return within 30 days of delivery for most items, provided they are unused, in original condition, and in original packaging.

Preference returns include items returned because of:

  • Colour
  • Size
  • Style
  • Finish
  • Quality perception
  • "Not as expected"

These items must be physically returned. Items must not be disposed of unless we explicitly advise otherwise.

Return Process

Approved returns may require you to:

  • Return items using a suitable courier, or
  • Arrange a collection for large or two-person delivery items

Return instructions will be provided once your return request is approved.

Original packaging is required wherever possible, particularly for large or fragile items.

Refunds

Refunds are processed only once returned items are:

  • Received at our warehouse, and
  • Inspected and approved

Refunds are usually processed within 5-7 working days, or up to 10 working days during busy periods.

Refunds are issued to the original method of payment . Gift voucher payments are refunded as gift vouchers only.

Refunds cannot be issued before receipt and inspection, except in confirmed fault or damage cases where collection is not required.

Missing Returns & Investigations

If a return is delayed or missing, we will investigate with the courier and warehouse. Refunds cannot be issued until the investigation is complete.

Disputes & Chargebacks

If a payment dispute or chargeback is raised with your payment provider (including Klarna, Clearpay, or American Express), we are unable to process refunds or collections until the dispute is resolved. This is controlled by the payment provider.

Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any matter which cannot be limited by law.

Our liability is otherwise limited to the purchase price of the item.
