Elegant Easter decorating ideas

With Easter just around the corner, it’s the perfect time to add some fresh spring touches to your home decor. Whether it’s a beautiful Easter wreath at your doorstep or a well-decorated table for your Easter lunch, some lovely Easter decorations can make all the difference to your home. Here are a few of our favourite Easter decorating ideas to make your holiday celebrations even more special.

Easter tabletop decorations

If gatherings are planned for family and friends over the Easter weekend, it is natural that thoughts will turn to celebratory meals and how best to arrange Easter table decorations. Fresh spring flowers are usually our first port of call, but even a simple arrangement of twigs that are just coming into blossom can be elevated with a thoughtful choice of vase. Our Ebbie Vase with its delightful dimpled texture is perfect for supporting longer branches and adds delicacy to the cool Scandi style of the Quinn Dining Table and Baylin Chairs.

Setting the Easter table

Easter Sunday lunch is definitely the time to bring out the best china. Our Clea dinnerware has a wonderful warm hue and organic lines that will elevate a plain table cloth or placemats. Carefully chosen glassware and coordinating cloth napkins will always add refinement. White linen is classic and ours have a pom pom trimmed edge for a touch of fun, or you may opt for a soft pastel theme to tone with your spring flowers. Our Bunny Wire Napkin Rings add a sweet touch to plain napkins and our elegant ribbed wine glasses and tumblers catch the light beautifully as well as being a delight to handle.

Create DIY Easter decorations

This is a wonderful time to express your creativity by crafting your own Easter table decor. For a look that will last beyond the holiday weekend, cover the plain pots of spring bulbs (hyacinths are perfect) with artfully wrapped linen or cotton napkins and tie them with twine for a cosy, natural feel. For consistency choose napkin shades that complement your table arrangement. With larger pots, the size of our new tea towels may be more appropriate, with their pastel colour palette perfect for spring.

Easter wreaths and Easter tree decorations

An Easter wreath is a charming way to welcome visitors to your home either on the front door or at the window. Our dried flower bouquets are perfect for weaving into a beautiful soft toned Easter wreath. We also love the idea of an Easter tree – just gather some shapely twigs from the garden or on a walk - and arrange in a heavy based vase to create a stunning centrepiece for your easter tree decorations. For a more individual look, enhance shop bought hanging eggs by wrapping them like sweeties with a subtle covering of crepe paper to tone more effectively with your scheme.

Fill your home with Easter flowers

Flowers will always be our first choice for Easter home decor. It’s the ideal time to bring in fresh, but faux flowers will also create sensational long lasting displays for the mantelpiece and hall console without the need for water. Dried grasses and flowers in bud vases dotted throughout the house will create a beautiful cohesive scheme. We love the impact of a large central display for the table or kitchen island, but leave a spot on a sideboard free for it when it’s time to dine. Then swap in single stems in smaller bud vases that can be dotted around the table while still allowing space for serving dishes and a free flow of conversation.
