If the pile does become crushed, the angle of the pile alters, which may result in areas of the pile appearing lighter or darker in shade and is described as pressure marking
We recommend using a velvet or hard clothes brush in the direction of the pile to care for the fabric and remove crush marks
If soft brushing in this direction isn’t sufficient, light and gentle steaming will also help lift the pile and remove marks - we recommend this is done professionally
If the velvet becomes dusty, it may also be vacuum cleaned, again in the direction of the pile, with the vacuum on an upholstery setting
Fabrics are not stain guarded, clean spills immediately with a damp cloth
